The Problem:
From research, interviews, and synthesis, we learned that people want to improve their travel choices and learn about substitute means of transportation. However, at the same time, they struggle to stay motivated since there is no gratification or recognition of their efforts.

How might we keep people stimulated and make sustainable travel choices more gratifying?
Key Transitions:

Participant Observation
-
An experience that we wish to improve or redesign is how people track their carbon footprint, while also discovering new ways to adopt a sustainable lifestyle.

-
By employing computing power, devices can intelligently analyze a person's carbon footprint. This data may include automatic tracking of car or flight trips, footprint from utilities, food, or other purchases.

-
Findings from this data can further help people understand their activities & their effects, while also getting suggestions and resources to act on them.

User Test Feedback

Next Step
1. Based on the feedback, people are more inclined to make a change from the challenges with the friends they are familiar with.

2. Based on the user test, people have the desire to have some non-materialistic rewards from the platform.
